If you’ve been around for a while, you will know that I read a lot. I read 301 books, totaling over 100,000 pages in 2023. These most anticipated reads of 2024 are books I have already preordered and know that I will love and adore.

I take my Kindle everywhere.

I listen to audiobooks constantly.

I love to slide into author’s DMs to tell them how much I loved a book they wrote.

My home bookshelf is BUSTING at the seams, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Looking at the books I have read and loved make me happy. And that ever growing pile of physical books I have yet to read motivates me to squeeze in reading time whenever I can.

I had so much fun with the list last year, I just had to do it again!

I’ve been working on this list of books that I cannot wait to read in 2024 for months. Whittling it to only seven was HARD and many authors that I love haven’t announced book release dates past June – it just doesn’t work that way in the publishing world. It also should come as no surprise that a handful of my favorite authors make the list more than once.

Feb 6 – The Reason I Married Him by Meghan Quinn : Read Review Here

This sequel to the favorite book I read in July, will feature Hattie’s sister, Aubree. The heroine shares a name with my daughter, so of course I am in. I adore Meghan’s writing, she never fails to make me laugh out loud. My husband always knows when I am reading one of her books. I’m ready to be back in Almond Bay and see how she will make me laugh. Aubree is facing some hardship on the family farm and is on a mission to save it. Do I know how to farm? Absolutely not. Do I care? Not one bit because if Meghan writes it, I’m going to read it!

Feb 8 – Ashes of You – Lost & Found Series #5 by Catherine Cowles : Read Review Here

We read the first book in this series, Whispers of You, in book club in November.  We meet the Hartley family and all 5 of the siblings. So far we have watched Holt, Nash, Grae and Roan find their happily ever afters. That leaves the grumpy oldest brother, Lawson, left and I cannot wait to watch the Chief of Police finally find his someone. As with all of Catherine’s books, I expect to be wowed and constantly on the look out for the clues to solve whatever suspense element she includes in this book.

March 5 – Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano : Read Review Here

Our book club book from May of 2023 was the first book in this series and I cannot wait to see what kind of wild shenanigans Finlay and Vera get into with this book. These are fun mysteries and they always lead into the next book nicely. Finlay is a single mom balancing her career as an author with mom life and the perils of motherhood just hit home with me.

March 7 – Blitz – Treasure State Wildcats #2 by Devney Perry : Read Review Here

Devney Perry is another author that I will read anything and everything she writes. She was the first author to be featured in my favorite book of the month series twice and I am certain she will do it again. Blitz is set in the same world as her book Coach (which I LOVED) and is focused on a college football team. This book features another of the coaches that we met in Coach and his happily ever after. I cannot wait to be back in the world and catch up with all my favorite characters.

April 19 – First Comes Forever by Kay Cove

If you haven’t heard me rave about Kay Cove yet, I’m so glad you’re here. If you’ve heard my raving about her talent before, welcome back. First Comes Forever is the last book in her Love, Me and the 303 series and to say I am not ready to say goodbye to these women yet is an understatement. I know tiny pieces about what to expect from this book, but I’m excited none the less. Kay’s writing always deals with some heavier, real life situations, but she handles each topic with care. If you haven’t started this series yet, I recommend starting with Chase and Noa’s story in Paint Me Perfect. Official release date and cover reveal are coming, so stay tuned!

April 2 – Bridesmaid for Hire by Meghan Quinn

This book is a spin off of her Almond Bay series and features a character I fell in love with in The Way I Hate Him. Meghan has teased that this book will also introduce us to a new billionaire family that is a rival to her Cane brothers. New Meghan Quinn characters that are connected to ones that I already love? Sign me up! I truly do not know much more about this book, but I am already so excited.

June 4 – Crossroads by Devney Perry

Are we surprised Devney is on this list again? I sure am not. This book is the start of a new series and after saying goodbye to the Eden family last year, I am ready to fall in love with a new small town in Montana. She’s teased that the male main character in this one is a lot like Griffin Eden (from Indigo Ridge) and that has me all sorts of excited.

Other Books I Know are Coming Out in 2024:

Tattletale by Kay Cove – Planned for November, the second in her Paladin series promises to be another amazing romantic suspense novel and I cannot wait!

Snapshot by Kay Cove – Planned for September, this one is going to be in bookstores everywhere when it releases and I cannot wait for a valid excuse to go wonder a bookstore! It is a spin off of Camera Shy and I cannot wait for Lennox’s story!

Calling it Safe by Lo Everett – If you read my post about debut authors last year, Lo’s name isn’t new to you. The third book in her Mile High Hearts series is set to release in the spring. I am currently alpha reading it and LOVING every moment of Mia and Dean’s story.

I am sure I will add to this list in the coming year since many authors have not announced books releasing in the latter half of 2024, so maybe this is more appropriately named “Most Anticipated Reads of the First Half of 2024!”
