Angel Snugs is a non-profit organization located right here in Central Florida and was founded to provide training to organizations and volunteers on how to design and create “snugs”. It’s mission is to then donate these “snugs” to medical facilities to comfort children fighting cancer while enduring their lifesaving treatments. Founded in November, 2010 by Angi Farrugia, Angel Snugs has grown into an International Organization with the help of its Founder, Board of Directors and Volunteers.
This program is truly unique and provides much needed items to these cancer patients. Soft and fuzzy scarves and hats are hand made and become the “snugs” that hug these precious angel children. The “snugs” have been evolved to include socks, fingerless gloves, and any other item that can be knitted or crocheted.
Angel Snugs is listed on the American Cancer Society national database of patient resources. Patients and their families can contact Angel Snugs to receive items for free. Once Angel Snugs receives these requests, they add the facilities these children are in to their list, so that others there will also benefit by being “snuggled”.

Very cool! I had no idea this was right in my backyard – definitely checking it out for more info!
This is truly a sweet and loving thing to do. I’m so happy to hear about it!
I believe my mom is in a group like this. Such an amazing idea – I love it!
Thank you so much for your support of our program!! <3
wow what a wonderful program to help others. Off to go check it out.
What a great cause. My mom does a lot of knitting for charities.
That just sounds like an awesome cause. Thanks for sharing and I hope you are able to support many children!
That is awesome. Some of our local crafters get together yearly and make thousands of these to donate to our local children’s hospital. I love it when people get together like this for a good cause.
This is such a great cause. One of my daughter’s friends used to knit hats for children at St. Jude. I think it’s great when crafters can use their skills for good.
