We all know that change doesnโ€™t happen overnight. It happens gradually โ€“ day by day, week by week, month by month. And now that a new year stands before us, we are challenging you to gradually build up your life. The monthly Build Up Challenge is an effort to focus on small changes throughout each day, week and month, and building up these small actions over time will lead to significant changes in our lives.

At Orlando Mom, we started 2024 off with intentionally building up positive habits that will help our well-being and allow us to build up our families and homes too.

Each month, we are going to share and challenge you to work on five habits for the month โ€“ one for each of these areas of life:

  1. Mindfulness
  2. Physical Wellness
  3. Emotional Wellness
  4. Family
  5. Home

It is our sincerest hope that you will join us and other moms throughout Central Florida by reading about these monthly habits and finding ways that work for you to implement them into your life.

We will be sharing reminders on our Facebookย andย Instagram for these habits. Weโ€™ll ask how you are doing tackling each challenge and we want to hear from you so that we can share your progress and help motivate others.

Check out each challenge for the year so far:

THE DECEMBER CHALLENGE!

Mindfulness โ€“ Stroll through the Parkย

Make some time for your mental health this holiday season! Take a stroll through the park to clear your mind or work through some thoughts.

Physical Wellness โ€“ Go to Bed Earlier

Make your sleep a priority this time of year! A solid 7-9 hours has never felt so good! I started taking magnesium orally and it has been a game changer for my sleep! Add in some Gaba and my mind isn’t racing anymore either! Do yourself a favor and slip into bed earlier and spice up your sleep routine! Your mind and body will thank you!

Emotional Wellness โ€“ One on One Time with a Mom Friend

This time of year is hectic for everyone! Carve out a few hours and have some one on one time with a mom friend! You can even plan it during our Mom Meet Up on December 10th or our Vision Board Workshop on December 16th!

Family โ€“ Do the Disney Springs Tree Stroll as a family

This is a annual family tradition and we love it! It is fun to see all of the trees, and go on a scavenger hunt to find our faves! Grab some hot cocoa and make a night of it!

Home โ€“ Organize all of the decor before putting it away

The best thing I ever did was organize all of the holiday decor before putting it away! TRUST ME, that feeling when you bring it all out and it is nice and neat- is like no other!

Take some time to go through it all and organize it!

This is it! this is the Building Up Challenge for December!

Let’s work on the Building Up Challenge together until December 31! Remember to comment on our social media posts with how you are doing, we’d love to encourage you and share with others too!

Remember, You’re Doing Great Mama!
