We are proud to partner with Visit Orlando to bring you updates on NEW experiences in Orlando!
Although we are the “Theme Park Capital of the World”, Orlando is not just about the world-famous theme parks. As a mom living in this vibrant city for nearly 17 years, I can tell you that there’s so much more to explore and so many cool things happening in Orlando!
One of the cool things my family and I enjoy is the Orlando Science Center. It’s an amazing place that makes learning fun and interactive for kids or all ages. My children love the interactive exhibits, especially the dinosaur exhibit and the physics-themed ‘Science Park’.
The Winter Park Farmer’s Market is another favorite. Held every Saturday, it’s a great way to teach kids about healthy eating while supporting local farmers. Plus, the freshly baked bread and organic fruits and veggies are a delicious treat!
On sunny days, we love to head to Lake Eola Park. The beautiful downtown lake has a playground, a swan-shaped paddle boat ride, and a Sunday farmers market. It’s the perfect place for a family picnic.
For art lovers, the Orlando Museum of Art offers ‘Art Adventures’, an interactive program designed especially for kids. It’s a great way to introduce your little ones to the world of art.
Movie, music and sports fans can meet their favorite superheroes and celebrities at Madame Tussauds, the world’s greatest wax museum located on International Drive. Guests can help the well-renowned members of the Justice League save the world or moonwalk alongside the iconic King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
DC Superhero fans can step into the bat cave for themselves located inside the Auto Museum at Dezerland Park. Featuring a $200 million auto collection, visitors can look at thousands of famous vehicles from pop culture.
Finally, don’t forget the numerous free public events held throughout the year. From outdoor movies and food festivals to holiday parades and fireworks, there’s always something exciting happening in Orlando.
We have some pretty cool NEW things happening in Orlando this year!
