Who’s heard of Disneybounding? Even with Walt Disney World in my backyard, the phrase was new to me, (and it’s been around for a while!). I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to theme parks, yet if you said Disneybounding, I wouldn’t have a clue what you’re talking about.
A few days ago I was talking with a friend of mine about people wearing these subtle coordinated outfits to the Disney parks. He said “Oh they’re Disneybounding”.
So what exactly is Disneybounding?
Disneybounding is basically putting together an outfit inspired by a Disney Character. While kids often wear full costumes to the parks, there are those adults who also want in on the fun. I have to say, I’m not much of a dress up person….but, Disneybounding is so creative I may have to take part. Disneybounding is not Cosplay, but rather a more fashion forward subtle way to pay homage to your favorite character.
With events taking place at Walt Disney World (Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival, Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party ) and Disney On Ice: Mickey’s Search Party on tour right around the corner, it’s time to get some inspiration together. I love that you can easily turn this into a family affair or cute Mommy and Me matching outfits.
