Celebrate Pride Month! Family-Friendly Pride events in Central Florida!
We are fortunate in the Orlando area to have a community that not only recognizes Pride Month, but also celebrates it in a family-friendly way that recognizes all types of love and kindness. From Gay Days in the tourist district to parades through our city streets, here is a list of ways to celebrate with Pride in Central Florida.
What: 7th Annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run & CommUNITY Festival
When: Saturday, June 3, 7am – 10:30am

Details: The 4.9K run honors all those affected by the Pulse nightclub tragedy and is presented by Orlando Health and Hard Rock International in partnership with the UCF DeVos Sport Business Management Program. The Seventh Annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run and Family Festival benefiting the onePULSE Foundation and the National Pulse Memorial & Museum will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Wadeview Park in Orlando and virtually from anywhere in the world. When: June 1 – June 4
Details: GayDayS® began in 1991 to encourage the LGBTQ community to “Wear Red and Be Seen.” Since then, GayDayS® has grown into a massive celebration that spans the entire first week of June. Enjoy activities ranging from a family-friendly game of Drag Bingo to meetups at the theme parks. June 10 – Prideful Faces: Makeup Masterclass, Orlando Public Library, Albertson Room, 101 E Central Blvd, Orlando, 2:30 – 3:30PM, Celebrate Pride or your love of costume makeup! Makeup artist Danielle Ziss teaches teens how to apply rainbow makeup in a quick and easy way, creating happy looks that are full of color. Recommended for ages 11–18.

June 22 – Paint Party!, North Orange Branch Library, 1211 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, 5:15 – 6:45PM, In celebration of Pride Month, you’ll be guided through painting a sunflower in the pride flag colors of your choice on a canvas that you can take home.
Kissimmee
June 3 – Pridefest Kissimmee, Kissimmee Civic Center, 12 – 4PM, PrideFest Kissimmee is a celebration grounded in welcoming, fostering awareness of, and acknowledging the impactful contributions of our local LGBTQ community. Enjoy a live performance by the Orlando Gay Chorus, the Kissimmee Queens, and Orlando native Billy Mick!
Lake Mary/Sanford
June 23 – Sunset at the Zoo features LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration, Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, 5 – 8PM, It’s time for the next event in the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens’ popular all-ages summer series, Sunset at the Zoo. The event allows friends and families to enjoy some extra-hours fun on the fourth Friday of each month from May to September. This year, each month’s event will celebrate a culture, complete with activities, food and educational opportunities. June’s Sunset will take place on June 23, and the focus is on LGBTQ+ Pride. Guests can celebrate LGBTQ+ friends and family and enjoy vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and of course, their Zoo favorites. Tickets are $6 online and $8 on-site. Last admission is 7:30 p.m.

June 6 – Over the Rainbow Storytime, St. Cloud Library, 810 13th St, St Cloud, 11 – 11:30AM, June is Pride month! Enjoy a fun storytime celebrating our LGBTQ+ families and community.
June 7 – Take and Make: Rainbow Pride Necklace, St. Cloud Library, 810 13th St, St Cloud, All Day, Create a prideful necklace using simple jewelry assembly techniques. Take and makes kits are available for pickup beginning June 7, while supplies last.
