Father’s Day is just around the corner, and we all know that sometimes it’s a task to search for a fun and different gift for the Dad figure in your life. Plus with kids out for the summer, we are always looking for something fun and exciting to do! Wouldn’t it be nice to combine the two?! We recently featured one of Orlando’s local hotspots, East End Market, on our blog (check it out here!), which is one of my personal favorite spots in town! In my hunt for the perfect Father’s Day gift for my love, I knew I would find some great options at Bookmark It, as we are big book lovers in our house. So I made a pit stop, indulged in a carrot cake smoothie from Skyebird – seriously it’s beyond delicious and it doesn’t even taste like it’s healthy! – purchased a gift or two and selected a few options that you can pick up this week!

How to Cheer Up Dad by Fred Koehler – A fictional story about a little one who’s dad is having rough day, by no fault of their own of their own, and he does several things to try and make dad “feel better.” Awesome story for some good laughs and loving moments with dad. **Added bonus – On June 17th, at 10am at East End Market, Bookmark It will be hosting a story time for kids of all ages with Fred Koehler, who is a local author, including a reading, illustration demo and card coloring for dad. Plus, it’s free and help upstairs in the cool air conditioning(yay!).
