I’m not really a saver of things, but when it comes to keepsakes from my kids, I’m a softy. About eight years ago I began tucking away some of my kid’s special things in a plastic tote. Things like their baby blankie, a favorite baby outfit, their handmade Mother’s Day gifts and hand written notes.

My mom has saved all my books and fad toys such as trolls, beanie babies, and smurf figurines. She regretted not saving her trolls from when she was a kid because these fads are known to come back around!
