I know, I know, most people just love Christmas time… well, me-not so much. It is so chaotic and busy and did I already say CHAOTIC?! I dread the shopping and the lines.ย Not to mention I gave birth on Christmas morning! So over time, as I have gotten older, fall or autumn (whatever you’d like to call it) has become my favorite time of year. I just wish it lasted longer.

The leaves starting to change-not much in Orlando-but it does happen!

I love taking the kids to all of the different Fall Festivals and Events….I just adore this season. The slightly cooler temps-I can actually get outdoors more with the kids and not feel like I’ve just spent a summer day walking around Disney World. You know that feeling…hot, sweaty, GROSS.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes & Caramel Apple Spice(!) beverages from one of my favorite little spots.
All of the delicious apple and pumpkin smelly candles and hand soap.
Opening the windows!

And Finally FOOTBALL(!!!!!!!) is back.

Just the thought of it coming soon makes me happy. I am so excited to get out the decorations… I am already driving my husband crazy–more than the norm, by asking him daily to get the stuff out of the attic.

I have decided that I am going to decorate on September 1st.. that way I can stretch the season out a little longer. September 1st to the day after Thanksgiving (which is BY FAR the best day of the entire year!) That gives me almost 3 full months to enjoy the yummy smells and all of the harvest decor.

I also love this time of year because people in general are nicer, they seem to care more. There is more giving and volunteering going on. It is just a nice, cozy, warm and fuzzy feeling that I wished lasted all year.

Do you have any tips for me to make it feel more like Fall?

I want to enjoy this as long as possible!!!

  1. So true…there is a less crazy once the temperatures drop and people are more giving. I love this time of the year because I know I will see my family, too!

  2. This is so funny because I do the exact same thing! I actually got all the fall smells from Bath & Body Works the day they came out and took my fall decor out the same day LOL I start Fall in August then after Halloween all my Christmas decor comes out and all the fall/Christmas stuff stays out until like the day before Valentineโ€™s Day! Iโ€™m so glad Iโ€™m not the only one that starts early! ๐Ÿ˜€
