We truly live where everyone else vacations, which we hate when it comes to snowbird traffic, but we love when we are looking for vacations close to our homes.
I have been promising my husband for weeks (or maybe months, but who’s counting) that we would leave our toddler with her grandparents for a weekend and indulge in our first vacation alone in two years. I don’t want to go too far away, since this will mark our daughter’s first overnight away from us, but I wanted to take advantage of what Orlando has to offer, so we have decided that a staycation at a local resort would be perfect.

1. Know What You Want in Your Hotel

Since the key to a staycation is to do as little traveling as possible, location is everything. If the kids will be with you, theme parks and attractions might be at the top of your list. Getting away with the mom tribe? You will want to be stick close to some shopping. If you see yourself sneaking in a round of eighteen holes, find a place close to the course of your choice.
