You know that mom at the table of kids who looks like she is doing everything just to hold it together, as her toddler has the third meltdown and her baby screams, demanding her attention?

Have you ever seen a mama take care of every other person at the table only to end up standing and rocking the baby without ever touching her own food?

On this day, I was that mom.

#momguilt is so R E A L and it is easy to feel stressed or ashamed on days like this. To feel as if every person in the restaurant is judging you and your parenting. It’s SO easy to feel like you should have just stayed home.

B U T on this day, this day when I was feeling like I had given all I could give, someone reached out and poured life back into me.

A waitress from another section who didn’t judge my chaos or scoff at the noise, took an opportunity to serve me (and I don’t mean food).

As I went to stop her and explain she didn’t have to go out of her way for me, her words touched a place in my heart and rejuvenated my soul.

“You have plenty of beautiful babies to take care of. I am happy to do it and us mama’s have to stick together.”

Her small, selfless, act of kindness still resonates with me weeks later.

Take time to breath life, serve, encourage, compliment another mama. This could mean more to her than you could ever imagine.
