December’s Book of the Month is Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison!
This time of year I crave books to get into the holiday spirit. I also have been really leaning into audiobooks as I recently went back to work full time and have to commute three days a week and the entire Lovelight Farms series is fun on audiobook.
I was looking through the audiobooks on NetGalley a while back and applied for the audio of Business Casual, the fourth in the Lovelight Farms series. I loved Charlie and Nova so much that I ran to the library app to see if the rest of the series was available. I listened to the first three in under a week. While Charlie and Nova remain my favorite couple of the four, I do think that starting at the beginning with Stella and Luka really will enhance your time at Lovelight Farms.
*I will note that Lovelight Farms is only told from Stella’s POV, but the other three books are duel POV.*
Lovelight Farms Summary:
Stella Bloom is the owner of Lovelight Farms, a cute little Christmas tree farm, but strange things are happening around the farm and she’s struggling to pay her employees and herself. So late one night, she applies to be featured on a popular Instagram influencer, Evelyn St. James’, page. Stella hopes that the publicity from the page and the potential prize money will be the thing she needs to turn the farm around. But Stella lies on her application, stating that her and her boyfriend run the farm together to increase the romantic appeal of the farm. Spoiler alert: she has no boyfriend. When Evelyn arrives, Stella has to scramble to find someone willing to play her boyfriend and who better than her best friend, Luka Peters. Luka is all too willing to play the doting boyfriend to Stella and when touches and glances become more intimate, they both have to face the fact that they’re in love with their best friend.
