Some call them running strollers, others baby joggers. They’re an investment and take some time to research and look into what will work for you, baby and the budget. I’m the chapter leader of a free, local running club for moms (East Orlando Moms RUN This Town) with over 500 members, so I went straight to our members for their thoughts on the best ones out there and why. The same two strollers kept coming up: The Baby Trend Expedition and the BOB Revolution SE. One is reasonably affordable and the other is a bit higher, but people rave especially about these two.
Both are available at your local Babies R’ Us brand new. They’re also available brand new online at Amazon as well as other websites and sometimes will go on sale. They pop up on Craig’s List a lot, too, in great used condition and for great prices. Another good place to check is on Facebook, where they now have a lot of local and area-specific buy/sell/trade/baby groups.
I’ve listed a summary below of what the girls have said about their favorite two running strollers and why they would recommend them to anyone in the market.

-Preferred it over other strollers for everyday outings
-Smooth ride for both running & walking pace
-Only car seat compatible with a baby trend seat

Some of our members shared pictures of their baby joggers with their little ones in tow, so I wanted to share those, too! I hope this has helped answer any questions for you about single jogging strollers! Keep running, mamas!
I run with a Baby Trend and I haaaate it. It’s beyond bulky. I know that brand makes several different jogging strollers so I’m hoping I can find one that is a bit more compact and easier to open and close. Also, I’m big on getting used strollers. I spent $50 on my stroller and despite my hate for it, it works well as I train for this half marathon. Great post!
I’m a huge fan of the BOB strollers. We just sold our single in order to buy the double. They hold up great and definitely maintain their resale value. Great post for all those running mamas out there!
I first purchased a Baby Trend because I couldnt justify spending the $300 for a BOB. Boy, that was a mistake! The Baby Trend, when it was on swivel or fixed, was shaking so much, I couldn’t bear to run with it. Luckily, Amazon took it back, and I spent the money getting the BOB Revolution. Best investment I have made in running, and my son, who is about to turn 3, still loves and fits in it comfortably! There is a reason you pay more for certain things, and I learned that the hard way.
Snack trays and food storage is definitely a great feature of BTE but no doubt, BOB Revo’s specifications are indeed a great catch.
