Ahhhhh… Thanksgiving is finally among us! A day filled with family, food, laughter, the Macy’s Parade and of course, football. Quickly followed by Black Friday SHOPPING!!!! {I am totally against shopping on Thanksgiving Day, but hey, that’s just me.} And then, there’s Small Business Saturdayยฎ. I’m sure by now you have heard of Small Business Saturday!
Small Business Saturdayยฎ is an American shopping holiday held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year.
This year, Small Business Saturdayยฎ is November 25th!
Fun Fact: The first Small Business Saturday was observed in Roslindale Village, Massachusetts on November 27, 2010.
It is a counterpart to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and now #GivingTuesday. Originally sponsored by American Express corporation, Small Business Saturdayยฎ encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local. Small Business Saturdayยฎ is now a registered trademark of American Express corporation.
