If you have been reading along with my favorite books of the month series, it will come as no surprise that Meghan Quinn wrote another favorite book of mine – and so it’s no surprise that The Path to Loving Him was my favorite read of December. I have never met a MQ book that I didn’t love. She balances humor and heat so well. No one can make me belly laugh one moment and blush the next.

The Path to Loving Him Vibes

The Path to Loving Him is the third in Meghan’s Almond Bay series. This series is a great place to start your Meghan Quinn reading journey if you have not read anything by her yet. There are a few cameos from her other series, but nothing that will detract from or confuse you in your Almond Bay reading experience.

The Path to Loving Him follows Ryland, the new single dad, and his one night stand turned renter and co-worker. If you have read the first two in this series, The Way I Hate Him and The Reason I Married Him, you know that when their sister passed away, Ryland became the guardian of Mac. We see him struggling to cope with his own grief of losing his sister all while adjusting to taking care of the only piece of Cassidy that is left, her daughter. Each sibling deals with Cassidy’s passing in their own way, but Ryland really suppresses his grief in his attempt to make Mac’s life as normal as he can. So when he has a rare night away from Mac, thanks to aunts and uncles, he really lets loose and meets Gabby.

As always, thank you to Meghan and her PR team with Good Girls PR, for the advanced listeners copy of The Path to Loving Him, perfectly preformed by Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York.

The Path to Loving Him Summary:

After she thinks she botched an interview, Gabby finds herself at a bar in her hometown. She’s upset about the job because she needs to catch a break in the job department. She’s spent most of her life taking care of her younger brother and helping him make his dream of playing in the MLB come true. So when the guy she thought she would interview with but ghosted the interview shows up at the bar, she approaches him. Only problem is he has no idea who she is. The night leads to a one night stand and Gabby leaves, certain she will never see him again. Fast forward the weekend, she gets a phone call that she didn’t botch the interview after all, she got the job. She accepts before she realizes that this means she’ll be working with the handsome guy from the bar, Ryland Rowley. Imagine Ryland’s surprise when he realizes that his new tenant and co-worker is the girl from the bar that he cannot get out of his head.

The Path to Loving Him Rating:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️

This one is Meghan’s spiciest book yet and the total opposite of her usual burn. These two are anything but a slow burn, but as always, the spice never stops the plot from moving forward.
