It’s no secret that we are a theme park family and much of our holiday decorating is inspired by what we see around the parks. For Halloween I like making a themed wreath that’s kid friendly, low cost and easy to make. I’ve had the same Mickey Halloween wreath for the past couple of years which my daughter loves, but this year it was time for a new one. We kept the same Mickey theme, but instead of having a black tulle one, we decided to go a little more rustic.
If you frequent local craft stores, you’re sure to find everything you will ned for this project. Keep your eyes out for coupons too! So using a coupon, I paid $4.99 (total) for the wreaths I used to make the face and ears. I then went to the Dollar Store and bought a few Halloween decorations, small glitter ball vase fillers, pumpkins, a Halloween hat, some bat clips, and a bow. The great thing about this is you can decorate the wreath in such a way that it can be left up on your door through Thanksgiving. Just opt for some fall themed decor or glue the Halloween accessories in such a way where everything can be taken off easily. I let my daughter take the lead in the decorating this year.
