In my opinion, there’s no better place to spend spring break with friends and family than on the beach! In fact, I’ll be dipping my babe’s tiny toes in our favorite slice of the Atlantic on New Smyrna Beach (NSB) later on this month.
I know I’m a bit biased since NSB is my hometown, but there are few other cities quite like it. You can drive ON the beach (if you’re so inclined) or bike, run, skip — heck, you can even cartwheel down the perfectly-packed white sand, while also enjoying all the city has to offer. A few of my personal favorites include: the best burger on the beach (literally) at The Breakers, gourmet cuisine and fine wines at So Napa and Spanish River Grill, live music and libations at Traders and Om Bar & Chill Lounge and the many unique boutiques and art galleries on Flagler Avenue and Canal Street. And, don’t forget the countless family-friendly, outdoor activities (surfing, fishing, stand-up paddle boarding, boating — I could go on and on). These are just a few of the reasons this historical city is one of SmarterTravel.com’s “10 Best Beach Towns in Florida.”
So grab the essentials — a bathing suit, towel and some sunscreen — and enter today through Monday, March 24 to win our Spring Breakin’ on the Beach Getaway, which includes a three day, two night stay (subject to availability) at the oceanfront Coastal Waters Inn, courtesy of Ocean Properties. Trust me, I’ve stayed there many times, and it’s the perfect place for families who appreciate the simple things that make NSB great: sun, sand and salty shores!

LOVE NSB! We go there for getaways at least once a year–usually twice!
I’m a bit biased because I grew up in Cocoa Beach…but let’s be real, wherever I can stick my toes in the sand is going to be my fave beach 🙂
NSB!! Easy drive there and it’s beautiful!
Our beach to go to has been Siesta Key. I’ve been wanting to try NSB…I never know where to go or a good place to stay so I’d love to try this place! Totally need it before baby #4 comes too!
I love cocoa beach!!!
Beautiful! Who doesn’t love a nice place to stay right on the beach?! I know do!
Destin is amazing! Sarasota and NSB are also pretty nice 🙂
I really like NSB but I have to say I love the West Coast, I love Clearwater Beach.
We go to Cocoa Beach. It’s close to the east side of town and Lori Wilson Park is great! Haven’t been to NSB since I was a kid. I’d love to go again!
Clearwater Beach and New Smyrna Beach! Weve been to both several times, and they are great!
