In my opinion, there’s no better place to spend spring break with friends and family than on the beach! In fact, I’ll be dipping my babe’s tiny toes in our favorite slice of the Atlantic on New Smyrna Beach (NSB) later on this month.
I know I’m a bit biased since NSB is my hometown, but there are few other cities quite like it. You can drive ON the beach (if you’re so inclined) or bike, run, skip — heck, you can even cartwheel down the perfectly-packed white sand, while also enjoying all the city has to offer. A few of my personal favorites include: the best burger on the beach (literally) at The Breakers, gourmet cuisine and fine wines at So Napa and Spanish River Grill, live music and libations at Traders and Om Bar & Chill Lounge and the many unique boutiques and art galleries on Flagler Avenue and Canal Street. And, don’t forget the countless family-friendly, outdoor activities (surfing, fishing, stand-up paddle boarding, boating — I could go on and on). These are just a few of the reasons this historical city is one of SmarterTravel.com’s “10 Best Beach Towns in Florida.”
So grab the essentials — a bathing suit, towel and some sunscreen — and enter today through Monday, March 24 to win our Spring Breakin’ on the Beach Getaway, which includes a three day, two night stay (subject to availability) at the oceanfront Coastal Waters Inn, courtesy of Ocean Properties. Trust me, I’ve stayed there many times, and it’s the perfect place for families who appreciate the simple things that make NSB great: sun, sand and salty shores!

My favorite beach is NSB!
As kids we spent a great deal of time in St Augustine and the beaches of the panhandle – always trying to find some small gem of a beach town where we’d go for a few years until they had outgrown our small town dreams. I would love to find a small beach town to make my own families favorite getaway.
We haven’t been to a beach since we moved to Florida two years ago. Would love to find a nice beach to start taking the kids.
I like Delray Beach!
We could use a getaway!
I love Mel Beach and Destin/Navarre.
NSB is my favorite spot!
NSB is a great location for a family to visit the beach.
I love NSB! We are there nearly every Sunday and would love to stay the night!
Love NSB! It’s my 2nd home and we could really use a weekend away there!
