March’s Book of the Month is It Seemed Like a Good Idea by Lauren Blakely!
Lauren’s books are always full of some of my favorite banter – she brings to life some of my favorite conversations between characters that NEVER fail to make me smile, laugh out loud and makes me so happy. Every scene moves the plot along in her books, every side character plays a role (whether it’s comedic relief or for meddling purposes) and each character is someone I would gladly meet in real life.
If you are joining me on my year long adventure to try to read at least one new author a month and have never read anything by Lauren, this is a brand new series unattached to any of her previous books, so it is a great place to start off!
It Seemed Like a Good Idea Summary:
When a movie is set to begin filming in her hometown, Ripley’s twin sister demands that she have a personal bodyguard. Despite every attempt to get rid of the bodyguard, Banks sticks around to protect her from the paparazzi. Somewhere between all the time spent together and an overbooked inn resulting in them sharing a cabin, Ripley and Banks give into their chemistry.
