May’s Book of the Month is The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose!
This book is the sequel (ish) to The Perfect Marriage, a mystery book that made it into my top ten favorite reads of 2022. While this is technically a stand alone, you better be ready for spoilers of the SHOCKING ending to The Perfect Marriage if you’re reading this one first.
The Perfect Marriage was the first book of Jeneva’s that I read and I have continued to enjoy the way she weaves complex worlds without the reader even realizing until it’s too late all the little bread crumbs she’s left along the way.
The Perfect Divorce Summary:
Sarah Morgan is remarried thirteen years after her ex-husband was sentenced to jail. Sarah’s new husband is caught cheating on her and she goes to file for divorce. But when new DNA evidence comes to light in her previous husband’s case, her current husband’s mistress go missing and a mysterious death, Sarah’s perfectly crafted world is close to crumbling.
The Perfect Divorce Pacing Guide:
I highly suggest this on one audio – this story is told in a lot of points of view and I find stories told in this way easier to keep track of on audio.
