November’s Book of the Month is The Third Gilmore Girl: A Memoir by Kelly Bishop!

There is just something about fall that makes me want to plop down on the couch and rewatch Gilmore Girls. I watched the show off and on when I was in high school and college. I was then and will forever be #teamjess. My first full series rewatch happened in 2021 and I still love to watch clips or a show here and there.

I loved the character of Emily – a set in her way grandmother who so desperately wanted more for her granddaughter than she or Lorelai had. She also sparked my love for my own ancestry which is a wild story for another day. While Emily’s delivery many not have been the best at times, you could always tell that she loved her husband, Lorelai and Rory.

The Third Gilmore Girl Summary:

Kelly Bishop recalls her life, from preforming on Broadway to the set of Gilmore Girls and details her hope for the future.

The Third Gilmore Girl Pacing Guide:

This one is just short of 7 hours on audio, and Kelly narrates the book – so if you are an audiobook girlie, I highly recommend you hear her story from Kelly herself.
