October’s Book of the Month is The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins!
I listened to this one on audiobook and really enjoyed it! It’s a quick audiobook, especially if you listen to it on 1.5 or 2x speed like me. It also is included in your Kindle Unlimited membership, so that’s a huge plus!
Book Summary:
Jane is barely making ends meet by waking dogs in a fancy neighborhood. One day she’s almost hit by a handsome man. To apologize, he invites her inside for coffee. They get to talking and he hires her to walk his dog that he has yet to get. Eddie is the grieving husband of the local woman who is expected to be dead after a boating accident that also killed her best friend. But as Jane and Eddie start dating, the real story about what happened on the lake begins to come to light. Will their new relationship survive the fallout?
