Are you cool as a cucumber natural plant mom? Or are you an aspiring please-don’t-die-this-week novice plant mom? Or are you somewhere in between, able to keep succulents alive as well as some pretty flowers out front with a daily automated sprinkler? Whoever you are — Central Florida has plants for you!

I am for sure not a certified plant person, but enjoy going into these green spaces to get some more oxygen. And that dose of new oxygen makes me hopeful and enthusiastic about bringing my new plant baby home.

If going out to stores to buy plants isn’t your thing, I know several friends who are naturally adept at not only keeping plants alive, but also propagating them (that’s when you have a little nub or piece of a larger plant and can make smaller new plants by placing them in soil or water).

Those friends always have little plants they’d love to give you to help you be your greenest self! Keep in mind if that friend does decide to come by in a few weeks or months, please don’t let that one die. Keep it alive or go to one of these stores to get a healthy luscious version of that starter plant!
