Fall Running Events in Central Florida

September 7 – Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk, 7:30AM, The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running three miles through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. We honor those who perished on 9/11 by supporting our first responders and military service members who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty. The 5K Run & Walk event attracts nearly 2,000 participants, including local first responders and military service members. This year marks the 12th anniversary of the event at Cranes Roost Park. Check out our 2023 T2T race video, and please join us to help honor our heroes.

September 13 – Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run, SeaWorld Orlando, Run for your life on Friday, September 13, 2024! Embark on a one-of-a-kind nighttime terror run experience through SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Sprint on Friday the 13th! Event starts at 11:50pm.

October 12 – Grace Foley 5K, Town Park, Avalon Park, 8AM, Join us as we honor community member, Grace Foley, in our Annual 5k Fun-Run to raise funds to support the Grace Foley Scholarship Fund. Grace loved mismatched socks so wear your favorite pair or purchase a commemorative pair to wear during the race!

October 19 – Princess 5K, East Orlando Gym, 8AM, Get ready for a fun-filled morning on Saturday, October 19th at 7:45 AM! What to expect: Meet at East Orlando Gym to check in for the run! Enjoy Character Stops along the way – perfect for kids and families! There’s a special 1-mile Kids Route for the little ones! Stick around for a chance to win awesome prizes with our FREE raffle!  And, of course, come dressed as your favorite character for even more fun! Bring your friends and family for this magical 5K experience in Avalon Park!

October 26 – Longwood Monster Dash, Longwood Historic Civic Center, 135 W. Church Ave., Longwood, 7AM, Come join us for our seventh annual race through the Longwood Historic District. It will be fun, family-friendly, and Halloween-themed. We invite runners to wear costumes and will award prizes for the best costumes. There will be a free kids’ dash immediately before the 5K. We will play plenty of family-appropriate music, including Halloween favorites, to get you into the spirit.

October 26 – Nightmare on the Clermont Trails 5K, Waterfront Park, 100 3rd Street, Clermont, 6:30 – 9PM, A spooktacular nighttime 5K run/walk featuring several spook zones along the course. A family friendly event with great shirts, awesome food, and a super cool finisher medal! Virtual option available for participants who are unable to attend.

November 17 – First Responders Gobble Gallop 5K, The Center at Deltona, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Deltona, 8AM, Join the City of Deltona and the Deltona Firefighters Foundation in the Inaugural First Responders Gobble Gallop 5K on November 17. Proceeds from this race will benefit the Deltona Firefighters Foundation. Dress up, get active, and show your support to our first responders!
