Fall Running Events in Central Florida

September 6 – The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running 3 miles through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. We honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 by supporting our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! • Our 5K Run & Walk Orlando event attracts hundreds of local first responders and military service members and close to 2000 participants. Please join us and help honor our heroes.

October 2 – Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run, SeaWorld Orlando, On Thursday, October 2, 2025, as night falls over SeaWorld Orlando, the shadows come alive. Step into the only nighttime terror run of its kind — Howl-O-Sprint 5K — where relentless creatures stalk your every step and whispers of curses hang in the air.

Race past roller coasters haunted by unspeakable horrors. Navigate eerie landscapes and harrowing scare zones lurking in the park’s darkest corners. Every stride is a fight-or-flight moment… and the finish line may be your only escape.

After you survive, celebrate your victory at the exclusive post-race party — open only to runners and a limited number of spectators — until 11:00 p.m.

5K Event Night Timeline

6:00pm – Parking lot opens for racers

6:30pm – Registration and Packet Pickup opens

8:00pm – START of the Howl-O-Sprint 5K

9:00pm – Finish line festival begins at the post-race pavilions

9:30pm – Awards Ceremony at the Scorchline Bar in the Pavilions

October 11 – Grace Foley 5K, Town Park, Avalon Park, 8AM, Join us as we honor community member, Grace Foley, in our Annual 5k Fun-Run to raise funds to support the Grace Foley Scholarship Fund. Grace loved mismatched socks so wear your favorite pair or purchase a commemorative pair to wear during the race!

October 25 – Longwood Monster Dash, Longwood Historic Civic Center, 135 W. Church Ave., Longwood, 7AM. Join us for our 8th annual race through the Longwood Historic District. It will be a fun, family-friendly, and Halloween-themed event. We invite runners to wear costumes and will award prizes for the best costumes. There will be a free kids’ dash immediately before the 5K. We will play plenty of family-appropriate music, including Halloween favorites, to get you into the spirit.

October 25 – Nightmare on the Clermont Trails 5K, Waterfront Park, 100 3rd Street, Clermont, 6:30 – 9PM, A spooktacular nighttime 5K run/walk featuring several spook zones along the course. A family friendly event with great shirts, awesome food, and a super cool finisher medal! Virtual option available for participants who are unable to attend.

November 15 – Welcome to the 2nd Annual First Responders Gobble Gallop 5K taking place on November 15, 2025, in Deltona, Florida. Proceeds from this race will benefit the Deltona Firefighters Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing assistance to the citizens of our community and those around us. Dress up, get active, stay healthy and show your support to our first responders. This event is family friendly; walker, runner, and strollers welcomed. The course will take runners on a loop course from The Center at Deltona to Catalina down Wolf Pack Run and back to finish where you’ll receive your finishers medal and post race drinks and snacks.

Start time 8:00am from the Deltona Fire Station, Parking is located at The Center at Deltona (1640 Dr. M.L.K. Blvd, Deltona, FL 32725)
