June’s Book of the Month is My Forever Girl by Laura Pavlov!
If you are new to Laura’s writing, this is a perfect place to start. This is book one in her newest series and even though it is a second generation story, you can jump right on in without any trouble! Cutler (Beating Heart) and Gracie (After the Storm) first appear as kids in their parents’ books, so if you want to read those first to get to know these characters, you can!
Cutler Hart all grown up has the confidence and swagger he possessed as a little kid, but perfectly flows into this grown up version. His friendship with Gracie was present in their parents’ books but this could also be read without those stories and appreciated just as much. Savannah Peachwood and Connor Crais do such a perfect job bringing these two to life. So if you love a good audiobook, consider this one! I know audiobooks will be my saving grace this summer while everyone is home!
My Forever Girl Summary:
Gracie is in Blue Sky Bay for the summer after she moved to Paris with a boyfriend who dumped her and told her she was bad in bed. Cutler will not stand for any insults to his best friend and sets out to teach her how to be desirable – only problem is that Cutler has desired his best friend as long as he can remember. Once their relationship turns physical, neither of them can ever go back to just friends. But Gracie has her next step for her career planned out in New York. She once changed her whole life for a man and it didn’t turn out well at all, will Cutler be the same?
