Okay mamas, gather ’round because I have some news that made my whole house erupt into cheers. The Ultimate Celebration of Play LEGO® Festival is officially coming back to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort this summer, and if last year was any indication, this is going to be one of those experiences your kids beg to revisit before you’ve even left the parking lot.
Mark your calendars: July 20 through August 16. That gives us nearly a full month of summer to dive into this colorful, creative, chaotic-in-the-best-way kind of fun. And here’s the part I love most — it’s all included with General Admission. No upcharges, no add-ons, just pure brick-tastic family bliss.
Why This The LEGO® Festival Hits Different
Look, I’ve taken my crew to LEGOLAND more times than I can count, and what makes the LEGO Festival stand out is how immersive it feels. The whole park transforms into this vibrant world of color and imagination. Instead of just riding rides (which, don’t get me wrong, my kids will always say yes to), the festival adds hands-on challenges, surprise headliners, and play zones designed to spark creativity in every kid — and let’s be real, every parent — who walks through.
This year, they’re bringing back fan-favorite play zones AND adding two brand-new headliner zones that haven’t been announced yet. The mystery is killing me a little, but in a good way.
The Zones My Kids Are Already Plotting About
The Music Zone
This one is for my kid who can’t sit still and loves to perform. The Battle of the Bands show pits Rockstars against Popstars in an electrifying head-to-head showdown. Think energy, lights, and the kind of show that has your littles dancing in the aisles. I’ll be the mom in the back trying not to cry-laugh at how cute they are.
The Chill Out Zone
Mamas, THIS one is for us. (Okay, and the kids too.) The Chill Out Zone is a peaceful, plant-filled escape with surprises hiding around every toadstool. The big draw here is LEGO Botanicals Build & Bloom — a quieter, calmer space to slow down and breathe after a morning of running through the park. If you’ve got a kid who needs a sensory break or you yourself need five minutes of peace, this is your spot.
The Creative Zone
This is where things get wild — in the best way. The Creatureverse lets your kids watch their wildest creations come to life. My builder-obsessed little one is going to plant himself here for hours, and I am here for it. There’s something so special about watching a child’s imagination get a real-world stage.
Mom Tips for Making the Most of It
A few things I’ve learned from past LEGOLAND adventures that I’m putting in my back pocket for this trip:
- Go early and stay late. Florida summer is no joke — hit the festival zones during peak heat hours when many are indoors or shaded.
- Pack water bottles. Refill stations are around the park and trust me, you’ll need them.
- Plan a Chill Out break. Even if your kids swear they’re not tired, schedule a 30-minute breather. Future-you will thank present-you.
- Watch for those two new headliner zone announcements so you can plan your day around them.
