Mother’s Day 2026 falls on Sunday, May 10, and Central Florida is full of ways to spoil mom this year. Whether she loves art, the great outdoors, a good market, or a night out on the dance floor with her favorite little guy, there is something on this list for her. Here are some of our favorite local Mother’s Day events to celebrate the moms of Central Florida.

Mother’s Day at Avalon Park Art & Culture Center

Spend a creative afternoon with your kids at the Avalon Park Arts & Culture Center. The Center is hosting Mother’s Day arts and crafts and card-making activities on Saturday, May 9, 2026, along with food vendors, sweet treats, and family-friendly fun in the surrounding Avalon Park Marketplace. Bring mom (or bring the kids and treat mom!) for a hands-on day of painting and creating keepsakes she’ll actually want to hang on the fridge.

Mother & Son Dance

The City of Longwood’s beloved Mother & Son Dance is back for 2026. Moms and their sons are invited for an evening of dancing, games, snacks, and cherished memories with a DJ keeping the beats going all night. This is always a sweet (and quick to sell out) tradition, so register early through the City of Longwood.
