July’s Book of the Month is Rules for the Summer by Meghan Quinn!

Talk about a perfect summer read! Theo has a summer to convince a stranger to marry him. Renley has a summer to turn around her town’s candy store. From the cute small town, summer vibes, late night swims – this book has everything I want in a summer/beach read.Rules for the Summer book cover from Amazon

This book would be a great introduction to Meghan’s writing if you are new to her – it balances her humor with the emotional growth and connection of the characters. This is another great audio by Meghan and I would highly recommend using an audible credit on it!

Rules for the Summer Summary:

Renley’s aunt accidentally signs her up on a website for a fiancé, she’s matched with Theo who is trying to prove to his father that he can indeed follow through on promises. Theo shows up in Renley’s small town thinking she’s going to accept his marriage proposal no problem – too bad she thinks he is there to invest in the candy shop she now owns. They embark upon a summer of getting to know each other, growing individually and realizing that sometimes the most unexpected people can become their everything.

Rules for the Summer Pacing Guide:

Chapter 1 – 14: July 5 – 11

Chapter 15 – 32: July 12 – 18
