September’s Book of the Month is Role Play by Kay Cove!
If you have been around here for a while, you know that I am a huge fan of Kay’s. We’ve become friends in real life over the last couple of years and I love being able to take a moment to shine the light on the talent of one of the sweetest human beings I have ever met.
If you didn’t join us last year when we read her book Paint Me Perfect, this is a wonderful place to start – it’s the kick off to a brand new 4 book series!

Role Play Summary:
Sora is an author but she’s feeling stuck on how to write a bestselling novel. She’s poured her soul into so many other books, only to be met with obstacles and internet trolls ready to tear her down. She’s waiting for a meeting that she’s hopeful will bring her one step closer to having the right team in place to help her when she meets Forrest (and his daughter). Another chance meeting later leads them to discovering that they each can help the other out – Forrest needs a place to stay (Sora has a huge brownstone that’s close to the school) as he finds himself suddenly with full custody of his daughter while Sora needs inspiration for her best blockbuster book boyfriend (Forrest is willing to wear any mask, literally, to help her out). As the go on themed dates looking for inspiration, real attraction and even realer feelings become impossible to deny.
