A Golden Anniversary Worth Dancing For
This year marks 50 years since the Central Florida Zoo settled into its current home in Sanford, Florida, and the Zoo is commemorating the milestone in the most fabulous way possible — by taking guests all the way back to 1975. Think sequins, platform shoes, funky prints, and a whole lot of disco fever under the stars.
The celebration takes place at the Wayne Densch Discovery Center & Courtyard, a gorgeous setting that will be transformed into the ultimate ’70s dance party. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best disco-inspired attire — the more glitter, the better.

The Central Florida Zoo is home to more than 350 animals and is one of a small number of privately operated, non-profit zoos in the country accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA). As a 501(c)(3) organization, it relies on community support to continue its vital work in wildlife preservation and conservation — both locally and worldwide.
