Get your bell bottoms ready, Orlando — because the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is throwing the grooviest party of the year, and it’s for a cause worth celebrating. If you are looking for some adult summer fun, the Zoodio 50 Disco Party is happening on Saturday, June 13 from 6–9:30 p.m., and it’s one night you won’t want to miss.

A Golden Anniversary Worth Dancing For

This year marks 50 years since the Central Florida Zoo settled into its current home in Sanford, Florida, and the Zoo is commemorating the milestone in the most fabulous way possible — by taking guests all the way back to 1975. Think sequins, platform shoes, funky prints, and a whole lot of disco fever under the stars.

The celebration takes place at the Wayne Densch Discovery Center & Courtyard, a gorgeous setting that will be transformed into the ultimate ’70s dance party. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best disco-inspired attire — the more glitter, the better.

What to Expect

This is an adults-only evening fundraiser, making it the perfect date night, girls’ night out, or excuse to finally bust out that vintage inspired look you’ve been waiting to wear. The night includes:

  • Dancing and retro vibes all night long
  • Delicious food and drinks
  • A one-of-a-kind atmosphere inside one of Central Florida’s most beloved attractions
  • The chance to support a truly meaningful mission

“This is more than just a party — it’s a celebration of 50 incredible years of connecting our community with wildlife and conservation,” said CEO Richard Glover. “We’re excited to invite guests to relive the spirit of 1975 while helping support the future of the Zoo.”

More Than Just a Party

While the disco theme makes it an incredibly fun night out, the Zoodio 50 Disco Party is also a fundraiser with purpose. Proceeds go directly toward the Zoo’s mission, supporting animal care, conservation work, education programs, and future growth.

The Central Florida Zoo is home to more than 350 animals and is one of a small number of privately operated, non-profit zoos in the country accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA). As a 501(c)(3) organization, it relies on community support to continue its vital work in wildlife preservation and conservation — both locally and worldwide. Every ticket purchased helps make that possible.

Don’t Wait — Space Is Limited

This is a once-in-50-years celebration, and space is limited. Whether you’re a longtime Zoo supporter or just looking for an unforgettable night out in Central Florida, the Zoodio 50 Disco Party delivers on every level.
