Okay, mama, real talk: summer mom life is a LOT.

There’s the pool. The beach. The baseball field. The water park. The day camps. The car pickup line in 96-degree humidity. The travel days. The “let’s just take the kids out for ice cream” days. The “I have not had a moment to myself since school let out” days. The day trips to the springs. The evenings we’re outside until the mosquitoes win.

And through all of it — every sunscreen reapply, every snack pack, every cooler haul, every “mom, can you take a picture?” — we are STILL trying to feel like ourselves. Cute. Comfortable. Put-together. Hydrated. Capable.

So today I’m sharing my five summer mom essentials — the things actually making my Florida mom summer easier, more stylish, and honestly, more FUN. These are the products I’m reaching for constantly, and that I think every Central Florida mom should know about.

Let’s go. 🌴

1. Woxer Swim — The Swimsuit That Actually Makes Sense for Real-Life Moms

If you have ever tried to chase a Gen Alpha kid around a splash pad in a swimsuit that is climbing into places it should not be — listen.

Woxer Swim has changed the entire conversation for me. They’re best known for their iconic boxer brief-style women’s underwear, and their swim line carries the SAME energy: full-coverage, no riding up, comfortable, body-friendly bottoms in a swim format. You can lift kids out of pools, climb out of inner tubes at Wekiva Island, ride a slide, sit on the edge of a dock, get tackled by a wet kid running at you — and your suit just stays where it’s supposed to.

It is the most confident I’ve felt in a swimsuit in years, and it’s the suit I’m grabbing every single time we head to the springs, the beach, the pool, or anywhere with water and witnesses.

Why it makes life sweeter: zero self-consciousness, all-day comfort, and you can actually enjoy the day instead of constantly adjusting yourself.

2. Wanderfull Hydrobag — The Bag That Solved a Problem We All Had

Florida moms walk around with water bottles permanently attached to our bodies. We have to. The hydration math in this state is not optional.

But carrying a tote AND a Stanley AND a phone AND keys AND snacks? It’s a juggling act, and I always end up dropping something in the parking lot.

Enter the Wanderfull Hydrobag — a crossbody bag with a dedicated, built-in side holster for your water bottle (yes, it fits the big girl tumblers). It frees up your hands, distributes the weight, and somehow manages to look stylish while doing it.

I take this thing to:

  • Baseball tournaments (one bag = one less thing to forget)
  • The zoo
  • Theme park days
  • Long walks around Lake Eola
  • Travel days
  • Pickleball
  • Pretty much anywhere I’m going to need water within arm’s reach (so… everywhere in Florida)

Why it makes life easier: one less thing to carry, one less thing to drop, one bag that actually holds the way moms actually carry stuff.

3. Freet Footwear — Because My Feet Have Been Through It

I went to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and graduated in 2019, and one of the things that has stuck with me ever since is how connected EVERYTHING in your body is. Your feet are the foundation. They literally hold your whole system up. And most of us moms have been crammed into squeezed, narrow, structured shoes for our entire adult lives.

Enter Freet Footwear — a barefoot-style brand designed to let your feet move the way they’re actually supposed to. Wide toe box, flexible sole, zero drop, lightweight, breathable. Wearing them feels like your feet are finally taking the deepest breath.

I wear mine for:

  • Long park days at Disney and Legoland
  • Walking the neighborhood with the kids
  • Beach trips (the sand grip is real)
  • Travel days
  • Running errands

Why it makes life sweeter: healthier feet = a happier mom-body. My knees, my hips, and my lower back have all thanked me. This is mom-wellness from the ground up — and the IIN nerd in me LIVES for it.

4. Forme Power Skort — The Outfit That Goes Everywhere

If I could put one piece of clothing on my body for the entirety of Florida summer, it would be the Forme Power Skort. Athletic, structured, supportive, with built-in shorts and an actual flattering skirt over top — this thing is the unofficial uniform of “I might be working out, I might be at school pickup, I might be at the splash pad, I might be at a baseball tournament, I might be grabbing lunch with a friend.”

The Power Skort goes from a morning walk to a kid’s birthday party to dinner on a patio without missing a beat. It’s stylish, it’s functional, it’s flattering, and it is HOT in Florida summer in the best possible way.

It is the closest thing I have to a Florida mom magic wand.

Why it makes life stylish AND easier: one piece, infinite uses, you always look pulled-together without trying. The summer cheat code.

5. BaubleBar Jewelry — The Vibe-Setter

Now for the fun, sparkly, “I refuse to disappear into my mom-uniform” finishing touch: BaubleBar.

If you don’t know — BaubleBar makes the fun, colorful, personalized, summer-vibey jewelry that immediately makes any outfit feel intentional. We’re talking custom-name bracelets, monogrammed pieces, pickleball-court-ready statement earrings, beachy pieces, color-pop bracelet stacks, the works.

My favorites:

  • A personalized name bracelet with my kids’ names (the eternal mom flex)
  • Colorful bracelet stacks to throw on with the Power Skort and instantly look like I tried
  • Statement pieces for date night or a dinner out with friends
  • Pickleball / vacation / summer-coded earrings that make me feel like ME — not just mom

There’s something about putting on real jewelry — even just a stacked bracelet — that flips a switch. You go from “mom in the trenches” to “actual person with a personality” in 30 seconds. It’s a small thing that does a lot.

Why it makes life sweeter: identity-based self-care, mama. (Sound familiar? It’s exactly what the wellness surveys are screaming about — see our self-care reset piece for more on that.) A little sparkle, a little color, a lot of “I’m still here.”

The Big Picture: Your Summer Mom Uniform Is Allowed to Be FUN

If you’ve been reading along on Orlando Mom for a while, you know my whole philosophy: the simple, daily things ARE the wellness plan. Whether that’s a glass of lemonade, a daily sunscreen routine, a 15-minute walk, or a stylish skort that makes you feel pulled-together when you weren’t even trying.

This list of summer must-haves is in that same spirit. Every single one of these products is solving a tiny mom-problem and giving back something better — comfort, ease, confidence, identity, FUN.

You don’t need to overhaul your whole life this summer, mama. You just need a few small things that make the season easier to LIVE in. These five? They’re mine. And I think you’ll love them too.

Pair These Picks With Our Summer Game Plan

Now go grab the skort, throw on the Hydrobag, slide on the Freets, stack the BaubleBar, and hit the pool in your Woxers. Summer’s not slowing down, mama — and with the right gear, you don’t have to either.

🌴 Stay cool out there.
